My Story

Belcher, Robert

LZ Russell

Text Box: I am glad we all made it through LZ Russell regardless of our fears. I remember when a chopper dropped a load off of ammo for the guns in the trash pit. Only problem, it was on fire and we had to carry the ammo out with no explosions. I also remember when the shitter caught on fire and two people got burned. ‘Course I will never forget the rats. I also remember the night and how my mind heard so many sounds.

But on the up side I loved all the poker we played. I, of course lost, but to me it was pure enjoyment. I want all the Marines that were on LZ Russell to know that I love them.
